Course Descriptions

Level 3 Food Allergen Safety Awareness & Management in catering

Description

Audience

Who should attend

This course provides leaders, managers, supervisors and chefs with the tools and skills to assess food allergen risk within their own work environment. It helps them create suitable allergen policies, processes and communication tools to establish and enforce safe methods of practice within their workplace. The course gives the learner the opportunity to download and complete vital paperwork alongside the trainers as they study.

This online Food Allergen Awareness course will teach you how to comply with the UKs allergen laws and help you understand which foods commonly cause reactions in food-hypersensitive customers.

This course will also explain how allergenic ingredients should be labelled on food products under the Food Information for Consumers (FIC) Regulation (as retained in UK law) and how to ensure customers receive accurate information about the food they consume.

Food Standards Agency (FSA) guidance states that food businesses must make sure their staff receive training on allergens.
